I define interests as ingredients. The ingredients add flavors to food and make the food taste good. Food without ingredients is the same as a life without interests. Now, you can imagine how two things are connected. I think interests are an important part of human life. Interest gives one pleasure and joy, and life without it would be meaningless. When one realizes their own interest, they will enjoy it and never get tired of it. Interest is about your relaxation and leisure. Therefore, I value and always spend my free time to do something I find interesting. My favorite interests are reading, swimming, watching movies, quarter collecting, photography, and painting.

Reading

My favorite activity is reading. I like reading romantic novels either in Cambodian or English languages. My favorite American novels are "The Reader" by Bernhard schlink and "The fault in Our Stars" by John Green. I find reading helps to gain my vocabularies size.

Swimming

I am not a sport fan and I don't like to watch sport either. However, swimming is my favorite physical activity for now. Swimming makes me feel relax and stress free while gets my physical fit. I am not good at swimming yet. I am learning and practicing. I hope I am good at it soon.

Watching Movie

The second-most favorite activity I like is watching American romantic movies. The movies I prefer the most are movies that were produced from novels I read. I find those very interesting. It makes me feel good and excited to watch those movies come to life. They flashed me back my favorite plots.

Quarter Collecting

Quarter collecting is a part of my daily activity life. I have started collecting quarter almost 5 years when I began working as a cashier. Quarter collecting activity encourages me for another activity. I am now saving some of my paycheck and tip. I am working toward managing my finance.

Photography

I like taking random photos of nature, especially photos of the different four seasons. Every picture I took reminded me good times I had in the past. When I look at those photos, I find myself feeling pleasure. It seems good memories in my old day come to comfort me.

Painting

Painting is one of my favorite hobbies since I was a child. I was inspired by Walt Disney and his animation characters he made. I find practicing of drawing cartoon characters sometime to be a satisfying relaxation. I am working toward a finish product of Pooh & friends.
